Grotta Gea Experience
Grotta Gea is a typical cave in the Sassi of Matera, a few steps from Corte San Leonardo. The house, about 100 metres, has undergone a conservative restoration of materials, furnishings and objects. The original rooms have been preserved, so there are no windows, no internal dividing doors, except for the bathroom, where the door of the old stable has been recovered. Grotta Gea has a small heated swimming pool with hydromassage, recovered from an ancient cistern. The herbal tea corner is a real gem. The structure can accommodate up to 4 guests, as there are two double beds, one of which is French. Grotta Gea, in keeping with the typical tradition of ‘widespread accommodation’, is located a few steps from Corte San Leonardo, close to places of cultural interest, restaurants and museums. The images of the exterior (terrace and private courtyard) refer to the Corte San Leonardo central structure. Access to both, are for the exclusive use of the guests of the rooms: Ascolta lo Sguardo, A Modo Mio and Grotta San Leonardo, subject to availability.
Rules at the facility
– Check-in from 4:00 pm to 7 pm. For estimated early arrivals, if your room is not yet ready, you may leave your luggage in storage. For late estimated arrivals, a Self check-in service is available to be arranged with us. Corte San Leonardo does not have a 24-hour front desk so, in order to provide you with the best possible service, we ask that you notify us one hour prior to your arrival at the property.
– Check-out at 10:00 am. On the day of departure, in case you want to take a last walk in the city, you can equally leave your luggage for the day.
Cancellation
Corte San Leonardo also offers security to its Clients for the year 2025, so that they can plan their vacation with peace of mind and security.
Guarantee and cancellation conditions for stays at Corte San Leonardo from January 1 to December 31, 2025.
Guarantee Conditions
A deposit equal to 50% of the total amount is required upon confirmation of the reservation.
Cancellation Conditions
You may cancel or change your reservation free of charge up to 7 days before check-in. In this case the deposit is returned.
For bookings via website, email or direct contact, it is possible to move or cancel the booked trip in writing up to 10 days before the scheduled arrival. For cancellations received after 10 days prior to arrival, the deposit already paid is converted into a voucher with no expiration date and can be redeemed at any time thereafter.
For reservations through Booking or otherwise, the conditions stated on the individual portals at the time of booking apply.
